1/4 cup olive oil
3 slices firm white bread
3 TB fresh lemon juice
6 anchovy fillets, minced

1 egg
1 large head Romaine lettuce
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Steep garlic in oil overnight; remove & discard ( i would leave it in because I love garlic)

Cut bread into cubes

Saute bread in 1/4 cup garlic oil until golden brown, Drain on paper toweling

Combine remaining oil, lemon juice, anchovies, salt, mustard. pepper, & sauce in a large salad bowl.

Heat egg in hot water for 10 minutes.

Tear lettace into bite size pieces ( about 3 quarts).

Pour lettace over mixture in salad bowl & top with half the cheese.

Break beaten egg over lettace then toss salad, spooning from the bottom of the bowl until greens are coated with dressing

Sprinkle with the rest of the cheese & bread cubes. Serve at once.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
I wouldn't mix like the directions say. I would mix dressing including the egg in a Tupperware mixer & shake until foamy & dressing-like, then I would pour over the lettuce & toss.

I would bake the bread cubes , not fry
