1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 egg
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 TB flour
1/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup flaked coconut
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325º

In a bowl, cream the butter & sugar together until fluffy

Mix in the flour & salt, blending thoroughly.

Pat out into a 9" square pan.

Bake for 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, mix the remaining ingredients.

Spread over the half baked cookies. Continue to bake another 15 minutes.

Remove to a rack & let cool before cutting into bars
