1 cup dried apriocots
1 cup sugar
2 TB softened butter
1 egg
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup orange juice
2 TB baking powder
1 tsp sa;t
1/4 tsp soda
1/2 cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º
Line bottom of 9 x 5 Loaf [an with waxed paper then grease the paper

Soak the apricots in warm water for 30 minutes.Drain & cut up into 1/4" pieces

Mix sugar, butter & egg together thoroughly

Stir in water & orange juice

Sift together flour, baking powder, salt & soda. then stir in to creamed mixture

Blend in nuts & apriocots

Pour batter into pan & let stand for 20 minutes before putting into oven.

Bake 55-65 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

Invert pan onto wire rack, remove paper immediately then let cool completely on rack
