1 cup butter, soft
2 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp almond extract
4 eggs
3 cups flour

1 can cherry pie filling

Directions:
Preheat oven to 375º. grease and flour a 9 x 13 pan or small cookie sheet.

Cream butter and sugar. Add vanilla and almond extract. Add flour and eggs atlernately, beating well after each addition. Batter will be stiff

Spread 3/4 of the batter in the pan and cover with the pie filling. Drop rest of batter by teaspoonful over the cherry pie filling. Bake at 375º for 40 minutes. Drizzle warm bars with a powdered sugar glaze if desired.
