2 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp salt
1 cup shortening
1 egg yolk slightly beaten
Enough milk to make 2/3 liquid
1 cup crushed corn flakes
1 cup confectioners sugar
1 TBSP water
1/2 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Sift together flour and salt. Cut in egg and shortening with pastry blender until it resembles coarse corn meal. Mix egg and milk together. Mix all ingrediets together and divide dough in half. Roll 1/2 into rectangle about 12 x 7 inch a greased 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1 inch jelly roll pan bringing up the sides. Sprinkle corn flakes over pastry.

Arrange over corn flakes 4 large cooking apples diced and peeled. Combine 1 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Roll out the other half of pastry. Slit the top crust to vent. Place 1 egg white, beaten over the crust. Bake at 400º for 1 hour.
Drizzle with glaze of confectioners' sugar, vanilla, and water.
