½ c sugar
4 T flour (or more)
1 tsp vanilla
2 C milk.
2 egg yolks, mixed

TRIPLED RECIPE FOR MORE ENJOYMENT
OR 1 ½ c sugar
3/4 c flour
6 C milk
6 egg yolks
1 T vanilla

Mix sugar & flour
Add in vanilla & milk in 2 parts
Cook until thick.
Stir in beaten egg yolks (I put them in hot mixture first)
Refrigerate & eat or pour right into cooked pie crust & top with bananas

Granny was the master of pudding. When I was a girl we had vanilla pudding, butterscotch pudding, chocolate pudding. Then we had chocolate pie, coconut pie, banana cream pie, butterscotch pie, peanut butter pie. She loved making pudding.
When the kids were young, we had pudding all the time. I LOVE pudding.
This recipe makes delicious pies - just go a little heavy on the flour to thicken it nicely.
