½ C Sugar
1 TAB Salt
¼ Cake Yeast
6 C Flour
¾ C shortening
1 C scalded milk
1 C mashed potatoes
2 beaten eggs
½ C warm water
1-1½ C heavy cream or sour cream
1-2 C sugar
Cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Place yeast in warm water, add a pinch of sugar, let rise
Cook and mash the potatoes, let cool.
Mix together all remaining ingredients EXCEPT THE LAST THREE.
Once mixed let rise until almost double.
Punch down the dough, let rise again.
Divide the dough in half or thirds and press into jelly roll pan.
Let dough rise slightly.
Top with sugar until it stops absorbing the sugar, then top with cinnamon until evenly brown to taste.

Bake at 350º for 30 minutes until bubbly and golden around the edges.
