7 ozs flour
1 oz ground rice
4 ozs margarine
4ozs brown sugar
1 tablespoon golden syrup
½tsp baking soda
1 tsp ground ginger
1 small egg

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar , margarine ,syrup and egg.
Add dry ingredients.
Make into small balls and bake at 375ºF for 15-20mins

Granny Robinson's recipe. Very little instruction given when Granny wrote down a recipe, she assumed that everyone reading it would know how to bake!
Granny was a great cook and baker and worked as a cook in a nursing home for some years.
She made the best mince and tatties ever!!
