1/2 teaspoon baking soda mix these 3 dry ingred together
1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup butter or shortening
1 cup sugar
1 egg beat these 4 ingredients together; add dry ingredients
1 teaspoon vanilla

2 cups rice krispies
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips Add these 2 ingredients, stirring by hand

Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes
