Sugar
Water
Skewers
Glass jar or glass cups
Clothespins

Directions:
Directions:
Get skewers wet and dip in to granulated sugar so there are chunks of sugar in the skewer for the rock candy to form on
Let the skewers sit until the sugar is dried on to them

In a pan warm 1 cup of water
As the water is warm slowly pour and mix 3 cups granulated sugar until dissolved
Water will be cloudy
Let cool a bit before pouring it in to jars

You can add food coloring to jars before hand if you want colored rock candy

When skewers are dry, slowly place them in the jars of sugar water and clamp a clothes pin on them to hold them in the center of the jar. The skewer should not touch the bottom or the sides of jar!

Watch the candy grow and chance every day for a week!
