"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Directions:
Place the ground beef in a large pan, cover with beef broth/water, and bring to a boil, stirring and breaking up the beef to a fine texture. Slowly boil the meat until it is cooked through, then remove from the heat and refrigerate the pan overnight.

The next day, skim the fat solids from the top of the pan, and discard the fat. Place the beef mixture over medium heat and stir in the tomato sauce, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, chocolate, chili powder, salt, cumin, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, cloves, allspice and a bay leaf.

Simmer together for several hours, at least 3, and add water or beef broth if necessary for consistency.

Serve with finely chopped onions and finely shredded cheddar cheese.

Great over noodles, by itself, on hot dogs, or over tater tots.
