Ingredients:  
1 cup flour
almost 1/3 cup butter
1 egg
1/4 cup currants
1/2 tsp soda
2 tablespoons milk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift flour, baking soda and salt together. Rub the butter into the flour and add the sugar and currants. Beat the egg and add with enough milk to make soft dough. Turn onto a floured board and roll out to 1/2" thick.
Cook on hot greased griddle.
