3 c. all purpose flour
1 c. unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. butter, softened
1 c. granulated sugar
1 c. packed light brown sugar
1/2 c. peanut butter
2 eggs
2 tbsp. milk
2 tsp.. vanilla
Filling:
1 1/2 c. sifted powdered sugar
1 c. peanut butter
granulated sugar (for rolling)

1. Preheat oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl stir together flour, cocoa powder, and baking soda. Set aside.
2. In a large bowl beat together butter, sugar, brown sugar and the 1/2 c. peanut butter until combined. Add egg, milk and vanilla; beat well.
Beat in as much of the flour mixture as you can. Stir in the remaining flour mixture. Form the chocolate dough into balls about 1 1/4 inch in diameter. Set aside.
3. For filling, combine powdered sugar and peanut butter until smooth. shape minture in balls about 3/4 inch in diameter.
4. Take a chocolate ball and slightly flatten it; top with a peanut butter ball. For each cookie, shape the chocolate dough completely around the filling. Roll dough into a ball.
5. Roll balls in granulated sugar.
6. Place balls about 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for about 8 minutes until just set and surface slightly cracks. Let stand 1 minute. Transfer to wire racks; cool.
