1 C (2 Sticks) Butter or Margarine, softened

1 C Granulated Sugar

⅔ C Packed Brown Sugar

1 C Peanut Butter

1 tsp. Vanilla

2 Eggs

2 C Flour-All Purpose

1 C Quick-Cooking or Old Fashioned Oats

2 tsp Baking Soda

½ tsp Salt

12 oz Semisweet chocolate chips

HEAT oven to 350 degrees. Beat butter, sugars, peanut butter, vanilla and eggs vigorously in large bowl until creamy and well blended. Stir in flour, oats, baking soda and salt. Stir in chocolate chips.

DROP dough by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.

BAKE 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.

Aunt Stella Gorgol sent me this recipe from the Robin Hood Flour label in November, 2001. Its been my favorite cookie recipe ever since.
