2-3 lbs. hamburger
2 cups chopped onion
4-6 beef oxo cubes
2 small V-8 juice (smooth and seasoned)
2 boxes beef broth
4 cups cut potatoes (style of your choice)
4 cups carrots
4 cups green beans
4 cups peas
1 1/2 cup barley
1 cup red lentils
sprinkle of seasoning salt


Directions:
Directions:
Brown hamburger meat with onions, seasoning salt, and beef oxo cubes. Add V-8 juice and beef broth to browned meat. Add vegetables and cook till tender but add peas at the very last. Allow to simmer to bring out the best flavor.

* Grandma made many big pots of the "Sewing Circle Soup" and took it to sewing circle, or put it in jars to hand out to family and friends. Definitely a comfort food. Soo delicious!
