1 package (4 ounces) German sweet chocolate
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
2 eggs
¾ cup sugar
½ cup flour
½ teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
¼ teaspoon almond extract
½ cup chopped walnuts

FILLING
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 package (3 ounces) cream cheese (softened)
¼ cup sugar
1 egg
1 tablespoon flour
½ teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
1. In a medium saucepan, melt chocolate and 3 tablespoons butter or margarine over low heat, stirring often. Set aside.

2. In bowl, beat 4 eggs. Gradually add ¾ cup sugar, beating until thick.

3. In bowl, combine ½ cup flour, baking powder and salt; add to egg mixture. Mix well. Stir in melted chocolate, 1 teaspoon vanilla, almond extract, and nuts.

4. Pour half the batter into a greased 8 inch square baking pan; set aside.

5. For filling, beat 2 tablespoons butter or margarine and cream cheese in mixing bowl until light. Gradually add ¼ cup sugar, beating until fluffy. Blend in 1 egg, 1 tablespoon flour, ½ teaspoon vanilla; mix well. Spread over batter in pan.

6. Dollop remaining batter over filling. With a knife, cut through batter to create a marbled effect. 7.

7. Bake at 350 degrees F for 35-40 minutes. Cool. Store in refrigerator.
