2 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
4 teaspoons baking powder
¼ teaspoon pepper
1 egg (well beaten)
3 teaspoons melted butter
⅔ cup milk (approximately)

Directions:
Directions:
1. Sift dry ingredients together in bowl. Add egg, melted butter, and milk (just until moist and stiff).

2. Drop teaspoonful of batter into boiling water (or broth). Cover. Cook for 18 minutes.
