4 oz. unsweetened chocolate
1/2 cup butter
4 eggs at room temperature
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups sugar
1 cup of pecan halves

Directions:
Directions:
Melt chocolate in double boiler with butter. Cool to room temperature and set aside.

Beat eggs until they are light and foamy. Add vanilla and beat in. Gradually add sugar to the mixture.

Fold the melted chocolate into the mixture. Add in flour, a little at a time, folding as you go. Then add pecan halves and fold in.

Pre-heat oven to 350º. Use a 9x13 inch pan. Bake for 30 minutes. Brownies will stick to the bottom of the pan. If you wish, you can line the pan with buttered wax paper before you put mixture into the pan.
