12 medium-sized carrots (about 2 lbs) washed and pared
¾ cup firmly packed light brown sugar
6 tbsp water
3 tbsp butter

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º
Cook carrots in boiling salted water, covered, 15 to 25 min or until tender – mean-while, combine remaining ingredients in a saucepan – cook over medium, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved – drain carrots and place in a baking dish – cover with sugar from saucepan mixture – bake for about 10 min or until carrots are completely glazed – baste occasionally
