Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1/2 package of bacon, diced
1/2 onion, diced
1/2 bell pepper, diced
1 lg can diced tomatoes
1 can tomato paste
1/2 box elbow macaroni noodles, cooked

Directions:
Directions:
In a large dutch oven, slowly cook bacon, pepper, and onions (slowly over med. heat so that vegetables carmelize). Once cooked, add ground beef and cook over med. heat until beef is cooked.
Add tomatoes and paste, stir and set aside.
Cook noodles according to package directions, drain, and add to meat mixture.
Season to taste and simmer until hot.

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
I remember Grandma Dee's goulash with elbow macaroni in her old farmhouse. This is the closest I can get to those memories!
Also, I have since found a website (thebestblogrecipes.com: Goulash Recipes) with about five variations on this recipe. You can choose different types, and I probably make one about once per week! I find adding Adobo sauce (1 Tb) to any of these recipes adds a nice smoky flavor without making it spicy (I add the sauce... NOT the chili).
