1 pkg. dry years
5 c. flour
1/4 tsp. soda
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 c. buttermilk
5 Tbsp. warm water
5 tsp. baking powder
1 c. vegetable shortening

Directions:
Directions:
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Sift together dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Cut into dry ingredients shortening and add buttermilk and yeast mixture. Do not let rise. Roll and cut biscuits. If not ready to bake immediately, refrigerate and bake as needed. Bake in hot oven at 450º for 15 minutes. Makes about 2 dozen biscuits.
