1 can water chestnuts, drained
1/4 c. soy sauce
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. brown sugar
8 slices bacon, cut crosswise into thirds
box of toothpicks

Directions:
Directions:
Marinate chestnuts in soy say sauce for 30 minutes. Cut large chestnuts in half. Roll each chestnut in sugar. then wrap in bacon and secure with toothpick. Put on broiler rack. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Bake at 400 º for 20 minutes. Drain on paper towel. Best when made in the morning and reheated that night at 350º for 6-7 minutes.
