Ingredients:  
Ingredients:  
1 c shortening
2 c brown sugar
3½ c flour
2 eggs
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
¼ tsp cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
½ c buttermilk
mincemeat

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, add sugar and eggs
Add dry ingredients alternating with the milk

Drop from a spoon onto a greased cookie sheet
Make a well and put a teaspoon of filling in the well and cover with a small amount of dough

Bake 400º for about 10 minutes
