1½ cups (3 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
¾ cup powdered sugar
1 Tbsp vanilla extract
½ tsp salt
3 cups all purpose flour
2 cups (12 oz) semi-sweet chocolate chip mini morsels
½ cup finely chopped nuts (I omit)
Powdered sugar

Directions:

1. Beat butter, ¾ cup powdered sugar, vanilla and salt in large mixer bowl until creamy. Gradually beat in flour. Stir in morsels and nuts. Shape level Tbsp of dough into 1 inch balls. Place on un-greased baking sheets.

2. Bake in preheated 375º oven for 10-12 minutes or until cookies are set and lightly browned Remove from oven Sift sugar over hot cookies on baking sheet. Let stand for 10 minutes; remove to wore racks to cool completely. Sprinkle with additional sugar, if desired. Store in airtight container. Makes about 5 dozen cookies.
