1/2 cup butter
2 eggs
pinch salt
1 t. lemon extract
2 t. baking powder
2-1/2 cups of flour
1-1/2 c. of currants or candied fruit mixed with saffron liquid.

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar, butter and flavoring Add saffron and then the dry ingredients. Grease and flour a loaf pan and then bake at 350 for one hour and 45 minutes.
