3 cups sugar
3 cups vinegar
1 T. mustard seed
⅓ cup salt
1 T. alum
1 tsp. turmeric
1 gallon cucumbers, sliced thin
4-5 large onions, sliced
3-4 garlic cloves

Directions:
Directions:
Mix all ingredients except onions, cucumbers and garlic. Heat to dissolve sugar and salt. Place sliced cucumbers and onions in large jar. Pour vinegar mixture over to cover well. Then add 3 or 4 cloves garlic on top. Put in refrigerator for 6 to 7 days. Stir them everyday.
