Apple Dumplings Recipe

Ingredients:  
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup shortening

Mix together to pie crust consistency. Roll out in squares 9x9.
Place a apple that has been cored in the center of the square. Cover with a pat of butter, some sugar and cinnamon and nutmeg. Pull the dough up around the apple to make a dumpling. Place n pan.

In a pan put
2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cup water
Boil for a few minutes then pour over apples

Bake 350 for 30 minutes. Place in a bowl and pour milk or ice cream over and enjoy
