½ cup white vinegar
1 cup sugar (can substitute 10 Equal packs)
1 T. Italian seasoning
1 tsp. salt

Mix together, and let set a few hours or overnight.

This was probably used as a salad dressing. The Italian Seasoning is probably a combination of Italian herbs. This looks like a homemade version of the popular Italian Seasons packages.
