1 cup cornmeal
1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup sugar
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup buttermilk
1 cup diced crisp bacon
6 tbsp sweet butter melted
1 egg slightly beaten

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400F

Grease square baking pan; Stir dry ingredients, then stir in other ingredients; Bake for 25 minutes or in muffin tins for 20 minutes.
