2 cups scalded milk
cup margarine
1 cups sugar
6 egg yolks, reserve egg whites
1 tsp vanilla
2 cakes yeast or 1 large or 2 dry packets
cup lukewarm water
tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
8 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350

In small bowl, combine milk, margarine, 1 cup sugar- set aside to cool.

Put yeast in water, add tsp sugar and set aside for 5 minutes

In another bowl, beat egg yolks, add 1 tsp salt and vanilla

In a large bowl, sift flour and 1 tsp salt. Make a well in the center and add and mix with wooden spoon in small amounts at a time-milk-egg-yeast mixtures. Knead 10 minutes till well mixed. Cover and let rise till doubled in size. Punch down dough, knead slightly, divide and put in two prepared loaf pans and let rise till doubled again.

Bake for 1 hour. When half done, top with beaten egg whites and a little milk. If browning too fast, wait till last 10-15 minutes to put on egg wash
