¾ c Butter or Margarine
¾ c Vegetable Shortening (Crisco)
1½ tsp Vanilla
7 c Powdered Sugar, sifted
5 T Milk

Directions:
Directions:
In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and shortening with electric mixer. Add vanilla.

Add four (4) cups of sifted powdered sugar, one (1) at a time. Beating well on medium speed after each addition.

Add four (4) tablespoons milk and beat well.

Add additional three (3) cups of sifted powdered sugar one (1) cup at a time blending fully.

Add remaining tablespoon of milk and beat at high speed until light and fluffy.

Keep icing covered with damp cloth until you are ready to decorate. For best results, keep bowl of icing in refrigerator when not in use.
