Edwina Smiley's Pizza Bread Recipe

3 cups flour
1 pkg yeast
1/2 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1+1/4 cup water
2 TB butter
1 TB sugar
1 tsp salt
1/4 cup pepperoni, finely chopped

Preheat oven for 375 .

In a large bowl, combine half of the flour, yeast, oregano, & garlic powder.

In a saucepan, heat water, butter, sugar & salt just until warm, stirring to melt the butter.

Add dry ingredients. Beat at low speed for half a minute then on high speed for 3 minutes.

By hand, stir in pepperoni & enough dough to make a moderately soft dough. Cover & let rise until double in size.Stir dough down.

Spread dough evenly into a greased 9x5x3 loaf pan.Let rise again until its double - about 30 minutes.

Bake 35-40 minutes.

Grill cheese between slices for a pizza sandwich !!
