3 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. butter or margarine
1 1/2 c. white sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sour cream
Cinnamon-sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º F. Mix together flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. In a large bowl, cream butter with sugar until well blended; beat in eggs and vanilla. Add in flour mixture alternately with sour cream; blend well to make a thick batter. Drop by rounded tablespoons, 4 inches apart, on greased cookie sheets; spread into 2-inch rounds; sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar. Bake for 12 minutes, or until completely golden around edges. Remove from cookie sheet and cool on wire rack.

I copied this one from Mom's recipe box when I was in college. She was really a recipe collector. She had so many recipes that I don't ever remember her making - including this one. But I have made it many times, and it's a keeper. These cookies are really soft and kind of like cake. I use an ice cream scoop instead of a tablespoon, to keep them similar in size.
