2 cups dates, chopped
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter
1+1/2 cup boiling water
1 cup nuts, chopped
2 eggs, well beaten
2 tsp baking soda
3 cups flour
1 tsp salt

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º

Pour water over dates, sugar & butter & let stand until cool.

Mix eggs, soda,flour & salt together then mix with the date mixture.

Add nuts.

Put batter into 2 loaf pans & bake for 50 minutes
