1 box mostacholi/penne, or pastichio noodles
1 lb ground chuck
1 onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
½ gallon whole milk
2 cans tomato sauce
5 eggs
parmesan cheese
1 bay leaf
1 cinnamon stick
1 stick of butter
Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 º

2. Sauce
Cook beef and drain
Add onion and garlic, cook until soft
Add sauce, 1 can water, cinnamon, bay leaf, pepper
Cook until thickened, ~30 min

3. Noodles
Boil and drain
Add ½ stick butter in hot noodles to melt
Beat 2 eggs, ½ cup milk, ½ cup parmesan cheese, and nutmeg
Pour over noodles, once noodles have cooled

4. Assembly
Spray bottom of 11 x 15 pan
Layer one row of noodles to cover bottom of pan
Pour all of meat sauce
Sprinkle with parmesan cheese
Layer rest of noodles
Pour remaining liquid from noodles over top

5. Béchamel
Mix 1 cup of milk with 6 tbsp corn starch + egg
Warm rest of ½ gallon of milk in large sauce pan
Add nutmeg and ¼ stick of butter
Stir constantly with a whisk
Once thickened add, 3 beaten eggs and ½ cup parmesan cheese
Put onto of noodles
Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and nutmeg

6. Bake
Uncovered x 45-60 min or until top is browned
