cup sugar
cup Crisco shortening
2 Tbs flour
cup milk
1 tsp Vanilla, anise or almond extract

Directions:
Directions:
Cream the shortening and sugar for about 5 minutes. It is important to cream these ingredients. If they are not creamed well, frosting will be "gritty."

Meanwhile, over medium heat, blend milk and flour to a thick paste (like toothpaste) for about 3 minutes.
Cool to luke warm and add paste to creamed sugar.

Add desired extract flavor.

Recipe will frost a 9 X 13 cake. For a layer cake, double the recipe.
