Personal Notes:
I made this one chilly day, inspired by an episode of The Andy Griffith Show, the one where Briscoe Darling ate four bowls of white beans. Season #3 if you're wondering. I started out making white beans with ham but it turned into Senate Bean Soup instead. As a young boy I had the real Senate Bean Soup in the actual Senate Dining Room. I had just pinned Senator William Proxmire from my home state of Wisconsin with the Scout Emblem for Boy Scout Week. I was chosen for this honor because I was the Cub Scout of the Year. Truth be told, the original scout chosen had come down with the measles. Don't tell Gigi.
