1 pound soft butter
1 egg yolk
1 cup extra fine sugar

Cream together

add
4 cups flour

large ungreased cookie sheet
press mixture into pan
prick all over with fork



300º oven 45-60 minutes

DO NOT BROWN

let cool in pan for 15 minutes
cut into bars
let completely cool in pan

This is a recipe I got from a fellow worker in the bank in Nova Scotia
It makes a lot so it is great for a bake sale
