2 tbsp oil
2 pounds round steak
1 tbsp flour
2 garlic
2 medium onions, cut in eighths

1 cup beef or vegetable broth
1 small tin tomato paste
12 whole peppercorns
2 whole cloves
1 bay leaf
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup chopped parsley
1/2 cup red wine

Directions:
Directions:
remove fat from meat and cut into cubes
Heat oil and brown meat
Transfer to large casserole or slow cooker
Sprinkle with flour
In same skillet saute onion and garlic
add to meat
heat and stir together broth,paste,peppercorns,cloves,bay leaf and salt
add to meat

cook 300º or 4-5 hours in slow cooker ( start on high until simmering)
Taste and adjust seasoning
add parsley and wine
