2 c. butter
3 c. flour
1 c. white sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 tsp. salt
2 eggs
3 c. old-fashioned oatmeal

Icing:
⅓ c. butter, brown slightly
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. powdered sugar
⅓ c. evaporated milk
1 tbsp. Karo syrup

Cookies:
1. Cream butter, sugar and eggs, beat together, then add flour, salt and soda. Add oatmeal.
2. Drop by teaspoons onto an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes at 375º.
3. Frost with icing.
