⅓ cup shortening
⅓ sugar
1 egg
⅔cup honey
1 teaspoon lemon flavoring
2 ¾ cup flour
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon salt

Directions:
Directions:
Mix shortening, sugar, eggs, honey and lemon flavoring thouroughly. Stir together flour soda salt when well blended chill dough.

Heat oven to 375 degrees roll dough out ¼ in thick cut into shapes place 1 inch apart on lightly greased cookie sheet
Bake about 8 to 10 minutes

When cool they are ready to decorate.
