1 can pie cherries, drained

Batter: 1 cup sugar
¼ cup butter
1 egg
2 tsp. baking powder
1 cup flour
½ tsp. vanilla
splash of milk

Directions:
Directions:
Spread cherries to cover the bottom of a 9" square baking dish. Make batter in a bowl, and pour over cherries. Bake at 375º for approx. 30 minutes or until golden brown.
