1 cup buttermilk
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups sugar
2 Tablespoons white Karo syrup
1/2 lb. butter
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Add soda to buttermilk and let stand for 3 minutes. Combine sugar, syrup and butter in pan and boil to soft ball stage.
Let cool and add vanilla. Beat well and pour into buttered dish. Cut in bite size pieces.
