8 chicken breasts or 10 -12 pieces of dark meat chicken
Salt and pepper to taste
cup chopped celery
cup minced onion
1 box (16 oz) egg noodles
Water chestnuts
Slivered almonds
Parmesan cheese

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350
Cook egg noodles according to package directions and place in a shallow 2 quart casserole - cook chicken in water seasoned with salt and pepper, celery and onion until tender - remove meat and place on top of noodles - with 2 cups of the chicken stock make veloute sauce (melt 4 tbsp butter - blend in 4 tbsp flour then 2 cups chicken stock and cook until thick and smooth) add sliced water chestnuts to chicken and pour veloute sauce over it - sprinkle slivered almonds and Parmesan cheese over all - bake until thoroughly heated about 20 min.
