½ box pearl barley
¼ lb. liver
¼ lb. side pork (or ground pork)
salt to taste
Karo syrup

Directions:
Directions:
Cook pearl barley according to directions on the box - cook in hot water and let swell on low heat. Meanwhile boil liver and cook side pork (or sauté ground pork). Grind (or food process) side pork and liver. Mix with pearl barley and add salt. Fry mixture in a pan until crispy and brown. Serve hot with white or brown Karo syrup.
