6 Medium Potatoes

6 Slices Bacon

3/4 Cup Chopped or Sliced Onion

2 TBSP. Flour

2 TBSP. Sugar

1 1/2 tsp Salt

1/2 tsp. Celery Seed

Dash of Pepper

3/4 Cup Water

1/2 Cup Vinegar

Directions:
Directions:
1. Boil and slice 6 medium potatoes. Cool.

2. Cook 6 slices bacon until crisp.

3. Remove bacon and cook 3/4 cup chopped or sliced onion in the bacon grease.

4. Mix in : 2 TBSP. flour, 2 TBSP. sugar, 1 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/2 tsp. celery seed, and a dash of pepper.

5. Stir in gradually: 3/4 cup water and 1/2 cup vinegar.

6. Cook, stirring until mixture boils. Boil 1 minute. Pour over potatoes.

7. Add crisp bacon, broken into pieces.

This is a true family recipe. It is a salad found at many of the family picnics on my mother's side. Everyone loves it.
