5 cups flour
1/4 cup sugar
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 cup Crisco canned shortening
1 package of dry yeast
2 tbsp. warm water
2 cups buttermilk

Directions:
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients together.
Cut shortening into dry mixture.
Dissolve yeast in warm water and then mix into buttermilk
Add buttermilk mixture to dry mixture.
Mix well.
Turn out dough onto a lightly flowered cutting board.
Add more flour if needed and roll out batter, about 1/4 inch thickness.
Cut out biscuits.
Dip biscuits in melted butter and fold over to make a pocket.
Place biscuits onto a greased baking sheet.
Bake @ 400º for 15 minutes.
