Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
This recipe came to us from the Croatian picnic in Kelowna, BC in the summer of 2018 and instantly became one of Steve’s favourites. The origins of the original recipe are thought to be Slovenian. The recipe was translated by our dear friend Lydia Cicko and the odd amounts are due to converting the recipe from metric to imperial amounts. While the original recipe states bake in a 9x13 pan, we felt the cake turned out too thin. So we went with a smaller pan. Doubling the recipe and using the 9x13 pan would likely work as well.
