Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Fresh asparagus
Parmesan cheese - shredded
Garlic - grated fresh or powdered dry garlic (about 1-2 cloves worth, if using fresh cloves you can add more)
Salt, if desired
Balsamic vinegar or glaze
Oil - olive oil, grape-seed oil, or similar

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat the oven to about 375º F.
Rinse and trim the asparagus, removing the woody ends and keeping the stalks long.
Place the asparagus on a baking sheet in a pile, and drizzle with a generous amount of oil.
Add garlic (and salt if desired), and gently roll/mix/massage the oil to coat the asparagus
Once the stalks are well-oiled, spread the asparagus on the baking sheet, laying them in a single layer & close to each other.
Sprinkle the shredded parmesan cheese across the asparagus.
Cook until they look done. Lightly cooked will create a crunchier asparagus, longer cooking will bring out some roasted flavors. Typically this will be about 8-10 minutes. The parmesan should melt a bit and may start to brown.
Remove the baking sheet from the oven, drizzle balsamic over the asparagus, and serve.

This is a super-easy way to cook other veggies, too. Fresh green beans work really well.
