1 3/4 cups flour
3/4 cup cocoa
1 tsp baking powder
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 pkg dry buttermilk powder
2 cups sugar
2 tsp soda
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup oil
1 cup hot coffee
1 cup water

Crisco frosting:
1/4 cup margarine
1 cup confectioner's sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup Crisco
3 tbsp cake flour
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, sugar, cocoa, soda, salt, baking powder and buttermilk powder in a
bowl. Add eggs, oil, water and vanilla.. Beat just until mixed. Add hot coffee last
and don't beat too much! Pour into greased and lightly floured 9 x 13 inch pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes. (or two 8 inch pans)


Frosting:
Beat margarine and Crisco. Add confectioner's sugar and cake flour, (1 tbsp at a time).
Slowly add milk and vanilla. Beat 12 minutes on high speed till it's very creamy and fluffy.

** Double this frosting recipe for a 9 x 13 inch pan. This is a good frosting for a chocolate
or red velvet cake.
